About the Role

We’re seeking a skilled freelance Graphic, Colour & Materials Designer to support the design of performance and lifestyle apparel. This is an urgent opportunity for a creative professional who can commit full-time and bring hands-on expertise to help shape the visual and material identity of upcoming collections.

You’ll work closely with designers, product developers, and technical teams to translate ideas into finished materials, graphics, and colour palettes that are visually appealing, technically sound, and commercially relevant.

About the role…

Colour & Material Development:

Develop seasonal colour palettes and material concepts that align with product categories and trends

Translate trend insights into designs that are visually appealing, practical, and performance-ready

Ensure consistency and quality in materials, colours, and finishes

Graphics & Prints:

Create patterns, prints, and graphics for apparel collections

Explore innovative techniques, textures, and finishes to enhance designs

Deliver designs that meet both aesthetic vision and functional requirements

Collaboration & Delivery:

Work independently while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams (design, product development, technical)

Take ownership of tasks and drive projects forward with minimal supervision

Support testing and validation of colour, print, and material performance

Present concepts clearly and adapt based on feedback

About you…

Proven experience in graphics, colour, and materials design, preferably for apparel or swimwear/activewear

Strong skills in Adobe Creative Suite and pattern/print creation

Knowledge of fabrics, dyeing processes, and material behaviour

Ability to balance creative ideas with practical execution

Excellent communication and teamwork skills in a fast-paced environment

Able to take initiative and work independently with minimal guidance

This is a hands-on opportunity to make an immediate impact on products while working in a hybrid setup in London.

You’ll be shaping the look, feel, and materials of apparel collections from concept to execution.
